Also nearby is the world famous Hadrian's Wall, and numerous Roman Forts and heritage sites are all around the area.

Cyclists and walkers are a common sight in the village too, as Bellingham is both on the Pennine Way, and a popular route for Coast to Coast cyclists. Local Horse riding and hacking facilities are also available.
